Dynamic spring-loaded knee orthosis
The CDS® Knee Brace Extension is based on the CDS®-principle and has been designed to treat an extension deficit of the knee. The brace applies a dynamic low load prolonged stretch to stimulate growth in the contracted tissue. The infinitely adjustable redression range up to -15° prevents harmful overstretching.
Indications
- Joint contractures due to:
- vegetative state
- cerebral palsy
- genetic syndroms
- epilepsy
- spina bifida
- near-drowning
- burns
- stroke
- spinal injury
- paralysis
- craniocerebral injury
- capsular ligament injury
- surgery
- before and after knee replacement
- arthrosis and chromic polyarthritis
- to prevent recurring constracures following arthrolysis
- rupture of muscle fibre in the quadriceps
- patella tendon tear
- quadriceps weakness
- conservative, post-surgical for all indications that contrindicate active extension of the knee
